Rule 39
Trekking permit fee
Trekking permit fee shall be as specified in Schedule-12. However, the department may exempt the following foreigners from the travel permit fee:- (a) Foreigners with diplomatic visas.
(b) If there is an agreement with the Government of Nepal stating that no duty will be charged, a foreigner who is associated with such an agreement and requests a walking permit for the purpose of going to the area related to his work.
(c) If the area of work of the foreigner is related to the plan or program of the Government of Nepal, such foreigners are in the padayatra area.
(d) Children below 10 years of age going on a padayatra with their father or mother. (e) Foreigners who have written to exempt customs duties through the Ministry of Home Affairs.
